I recently had a wonderful stay at a hostel in Kranjska Gora. The room at Youth Hostel Nika was clean, comfortable, and felt newly renovated. I loved the view of the snowy mountains from my terrace and the peaceful sound of the river in the backyard. It was also great that the room stayed warm throughout my stay, which was especially important during the winter months. Additionally, the hostel offered a large free parking area, which was very convenient. The location of the hostel was also ideal, not too far from the village, making it easy to explore the area. The receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful, even allowing us to leave our luggage after checking out. She also provided directions to the nearby Zelenci nature reserve. The breakfast at the hostel was plentiful and good value, especially the delicious eggs. I had a fantastic experience at Youth Hostel Nika and would highly recommend it.

Oh, and let's not forget the delightful surprise of the messy toilets and the heavenly smell in the guys' bathroom.

During my Easter stay at this hostel, I was impressed by two standout features. the location was absolutely breathtaking. Surrounded by the stunning Julian Alps, I was treated to magnificent views and had access to plenty of hiking and biking opportunities. Secondly, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any queries or concerns. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast that was prepared for guests every morning.
While my overall experience at this hostel was positive, there were a few drawbacks worth mentioning. the lack of cleanliness was a disappointment.

Perfect for those who love hiking but hate luxury. The spacious garden is great. if you like nature. The restaurant serves both vegetarians and meat-lovers, so everyone can quietly argue about their food choices.
Just the right amount of charm if you enjoy old, damp places.
